How it all started ...
We have been talking about a 2nd dog since forever. And waffle almost was the one but it was just not meant to be. So we had to let him go. And he wants to name waffle, MOMO!
Why the idea of a 2nd dog?
Because I cannot fathom the idea of TOto leaving me. I don't think I can live on, but maybe I can live on for my 2nd baby? So we had always plan to get a 2nd one when TOto is 7 years old.
And the criteria my hubby gave me ...
- Adopt if possible,
- Below the age of 18 months old.
- Westie of course!
Thats the requirement my hubby gave me. Wah where got such good deals, ADOPT one that is below 18 months old! I see online people are still selling off their westie for 900$ whom are 2 years old!
Then early this year there was someone posting for a 3months old puppy for adoption and I tried my luck. And I for one is never going to pay for someone's mistake. But she wants to resell it for 1000$, NOPE not paying for someones mistake. That's akin to selling not adopting ...
So I know it's never going to happen ...
Then in September, before I went for my Taiwan trip, I recieved a SMS enquiry whether I still want to adopt JOEY. I cannot remember where she gotten my contacts but I hasn't ask. She sent me a photo of JOEY and Joey has the same smile and eye like TOto. I requested for a trial period and the owner gladly oblidged and she agreed to wait after my 10 days Taiwan trip.
How to say NO to this face?
After my trip, hubby's eye gotten badly infected and she waited another week.
I'm glad she is not trying to sell Joey to the highest bidder but was willing to wait for me instead. But still I have to try whether TOto will kill Joey or not ...
And immediately after the Eye specialist gives the OK, we arranged to collect Joey.
And here he is ...
The first night he came, he almost leopard crawl from the car to 1st floor to my level. He was scared and MARK everywhere. MY WORST nightmare. We have to crate him for the first night ...
He hasn't give us any problem and stayed quietly in it ...
