TOto has the run ...

TOto has diarrhea ...

Alot of rumbling and tumblings from his stomach, it was so loud I can hear his stomach growling; and I thought I AM HUNGRY!

His poop is watery, and mucousy and he refused food and water in the morning.

This is not the first time TOto has the diarrhea, and usually he automatically will refuse food and water. So we wait it out, and he ate abit at about 5.30pm. At 7pm when we brought him down, his poop is orangey and alot of mucousy strands. Hubs thought the strands looks like worm ...

Before the last walk, I had Hubs massage the little fella tummy! And when he goes down for his last toilet break Hubs say TOto poop like a human with all the 'Diarrhea sounds'. Hahaha meaning the air in the stomach was massage out. We let him pop 1/4 of pepto bismol before he goes to sleep ...

TOday he flop himself in such a way, his tummy is facing the heater.

Usually his head is right infront!

He is back to his usual self in the morning ...

So off he goes to Daycamp!

When the weather is better ...

TOto will have a 2 miles walk around the neighbourhood, because Mameee want to lose some winter weight! And usually if TOto walk more, he usually do poopy 2x!

And when he see our apartment from afar, he will get so excited. And because Mameee wants a longer walk, so we will just walked 2 round of the neighbourhood. TOto refused to walk with me! When he see our apartment from afar, he keep turning his head towards the apartment refusing to move! I have to drag him for a LONG way. Even when the apartment is OUT OF sight he is still forcibly sitting down or turning his head to look at the the apartment's direction!

 His way of telling mamee,"YOU are GOING the WRONG WAY!".

I cannot convinced him, we are just going for another 2nd round!!

Dogs do know their way HOME.

At the end of the 2nd round, we slowed down and took some pictures!

Sniff sniff here, sniff sniff there ...

TOto getting impatient again,"Ok Ok ENUFF, CAN we go home NOW, like RIGHT NOW!".

Then turn head look at apartment again!

And as always when we are nearing our apartment compound, he would RUN all the way HOME leading the way!

Why my dog like that one!!???

On a Cold day ...

Temperature dropped and the heater is out, and he will SNUGGLE himself right infront of the heater! Seriously I didn't know DOGS love the heat! I always thought that Dogs love the COLD, and now I know!

'Shooo, you will burnt yourself ...'

He will spare sometime for me too, lying right underneath me!

TOto really knows how to enjoy life. When it is too hot, he will go out to the patio for some cold air, and after a while he will come back in for the heat. So the whole day he was walking in and out of the room!

The Sleepy Weekend!

Daddee got a new hobby and was playing with it till 3am in the MORNING. Daddee didn't sleep, doggee refused to sleep too!

So doggee was waking and sleeping on his kuranda at the Patio ...

And waking again, while still waiting for daddeee ...

And we end up having a sleepy dog on Saturday which was a GREAT SUNNY DAY! But he is so tired, we just don't have the heart to drag him out! And he was sent to Daycamp on Sunday, he came back very tired too. So for the whole weekend, I have a very sleepy dog!

Look at how he slept with his paws crossed, hahaha~

It was really therapeutic to just stare at a sleeping dog, somehow I have this weird fascination with them sleeping and I will just stare and secretly smile!

Sounds so psychotic!

Twist and TUrn Sleeping!

TOto loves the mat that I lay out for Spring!

He will bring TUrtle and his favourite Chew with him on the mat!

After the usual 'dance' move and lots of licking on TUrtle head later, he will go to sleep!

What shall we do if TUrtle should go missing!!!

During the day when TOto is with me, he slept most of the day away without doing anything much! I wonder why if they are left ALONE and they get themselves into SO MUCH mischief! Hubs should just buy a blow up doll to sit at the livingroom!

It is amazing how they survived the tremendous earthquake and tsunami. It's just amazing that they survived through this all.

TOto's injury update!

TOto and daddee has reconcile and he ate at about 5pm in the afternoon yesterday! He lose abit of weight from the 'depressing' episode. Poor thing!

TOto nose scarring are getting better.

His black skin on the nose has grown back!

Flash back one month ago!

... Heave a sign of relief ...

His fur is growning back nicely as well.

The soft coat and hard coat are growning out pointedly!

All the efforts mommy put in, are all worth it, and mommy felt really relief ...

A wart growth in his mouth has also recovered totally which explains the garlic pills I add to TOto's bisuit, and part of the reason was to help build his immunity against virus that cannot be cured via medicines!

A broken piece of trust ...

I thumped my chest, and assured Hubs TOto can stay at home alone without being crated; for a few hours allowing us to go grocery shopping. And we did exactly that and left for about 1.5 hour, with the TV switch on and Patio door left open. TOto was sleeping on the sofa when we came back.

TOto did fine, and we are so proud!!
It might be due to the long walk in the afternoon and he is tired!
Nevertheless we are happy about this small successful step!

And I tell myself I must remember to blog about TOto's achievement!

The night, I assured Hubs again," TOto can sleep in the living room by himself. He is a Big Boy now!"

And then in the morning, I hear a 'thud', I went out to check and didn't notice anything. I went back to bed, I call out to TOto and TOto didn't come in.

I complained to Hubs,"TOto is a big boy now, he don't even want to come into the room to greet me."

And when both of us wakey wakey, Hubs saw a broken piece from his Toy basket and we were so dissapointed with TOto. It is not just a broken piece of plastic.

It is a piece of broken trust.

That morning, Hubs left without reconciling with TOto. TOto refused to eat breakfast. He was very snuggly with me the whole day, he was so sad and depressed! TOto was sleeping everywhere and moping the whole day away. I cannot even cheer him up with my 'Mameee happy voice'!

I wonder did TOto regretted chewing that piece of plastic off?
Is TOto regretting, allowing his 'Dog instinct' taking over his 'rational' self.

It is so hard living in a human world!

TOto looking remorseful, even his terrier ear is flopping back ...

Our westie.TOto @ The Colony Shoreline Trail

We just found out this scenic trail a few weeks ago when we wanted to drove into Stewart Creek Park which charges like USD10 bucks for carpark and we refused to drive in.

But we found this trail which has a car park right outside Stewart Creek Park.

It was very SUNNY today and looking from the outside, I thought that the walk would be very shaded, but we are so wrong wrong WRONG! There was NO TREE!

These HUGE homes are just right by the lake, awesome!

TOto is so heated up, and he need to drink constantly!

By the time we reached this point, it is about 30 minutes walk, and we know TOto endurance is about maximum 1 hour walk; so we have to head back!

"No! TOto we cannot walk ON, we have to walk back to the car!"

When we reached the entrance, TOto is so relieve!

He found a shade, and almost drop dead!

Hahahaha ~

No worries, he is a strong and brave dog!

He will survive this Hot 1 hour trail ...

When we are going home, we drove by and stop at another park area!

We see people fishing in the small pond here.

It was really a Sunny, fine day to walkabout!

Mammeee so poor thing, have to be exposed under the hot hot sun for 1hours!

Mameee and Daddee Heart Pain!

I try to groom TOto recently and realised that there are 'thick' patches of fur that look ODD, and I wonder why? I realised the 'damage furs' are not growning outwards and instead are curling inwards!! And these 'damage' furs are growing thick; these broken furs should be pluck away for new growth but couldn't be pluck because they are curling in or broken!

I have to 'harden' my heart to pluck out all these damage curl furs! And I am left with these 'Bald' patches, hopefully they grow out soon! I have to keep reassuring TOto that mammeee is doing all these 'plucking' for TOto's skin health, bear with it!

These are the bald patches that are 'damage' by the groomer.

Pray hard, they grow back fast.

Alot of people are thinking that TOto has skin problem!

Our Westie.TOto Daily walk!

 TOto doesn't trust mommy when it is only mommy and him on the walks! As always on our return journey from afar he would start to RUN all the way back to the apartment community in panic! I wonder why, is he suspecting that mommy always get both of us lost?

But if Daddee is around, TOto doesn't have this habit of rushing HOME!

I wonder WHY!?

Mameee always bring TOto on long long walks, longer than daddeee ok!

Maple is a Miniature brown poodle from Singapore adopted by a Canadian momsy, thus the name Little Miss Maple leaf! Do you know, Poodles are one of the most intelligent dog, and they need only to repeat a action 5x to learn! Westies still need to repeat the action 25x! Hahaha nevermind, TOto better be dumber so that we can better CONTROL him, (Evil Laugh) wahahahahaha!

This breed is sooooooooooo POPULAR in Taiwan, you can see them everywhere on the streets! I was so infatuated with these Miniature brown poodles during my short stay in Taiwan, I almost wanted to get them as my pet! There are the cutest!! BUT Hubs would not allow a overly cutesy dog! He says he prefer a MAN's MAN DOG! :P What rubbish!

Switching Solidgold Hund-n-Flocken to TOTW Sierra Mountain

Update - We returned TOTW Sierra Mountain after about 2 weeks. We realised that TOto started scratching his paws more and we are not very uncomfortable with that. We switch his kibbles to Wellness Simple Food Solutions Lamb & Rice Formula next; and he seems to be doing so much better with firmer poop.

Our experiments with TOto's kibbles are rather successful.
His poop really came out in 2 colours and 2 different type of texture!
Poops by Solidgold Hund-n-Flocken Adult Dog  are really softer and comes out yellowish and Poops by Orijen Fish are darker and firmer in texture. This experiment confirms our suspicion that kibbles that are high in grain content give softer poop! So we are in the market looking for Grain Free and Low Protein Kibbles. We found ACANA Lamb & Apples but that is not available in USA!

As for now we are switching TOto 1/3 portion of his meal; Solid Gold Fluckchen Hocken to Taste of the Wild - Sierra Mountain Canine Formula.

High level proteins are not healthy for small dogs' kidney!

Feeding portion is almost the same as Solidgold!

Hopefully we get firmer poops from TOTW!

SPRING @ Fortworth!

We drove one hour to fortworth for this funkyfinds event. It was rather dissappointing as the event was smaller than what we expected!

Nevertheless we paid the US$5.00 parking and just walk around!

After spending a few hours in fortworth we drove back and since we will pass by TOto's favourite dog park, we brought him in although he is VERY TIRED!

The weather is very good, and there are alot of dogs today!

There was this Giant German shepard doing some training right outside the dog park fence! And TOto was infatuated with the him! 

TOto want to run away with him!

And we come home to a very TIRED dog!

He was so tired, after his bath and meal, he just drop dead sleeping!
