Orijen 6 Fish & Lamb & Acana Okanagan Apple AND Fish oil Supplement!

Acana Okanagan Apple is finally in Texas!

We have been reading about Acana Okanagan Apple since last year, the ingredient list fitted what we wanted for TOto but one of the originial ingredient is not approved in USA. And after repackaging, it is finally here. We have to go out of our usual route to get them.

COMPOSITIONDehydrated lamb (27%), deboned lamb (15%), steel-cut oats, peas, whole apples (10%), whole potato, sunflower oil, oat flakes, lamb liver (3%), sun-cured alfalfa, whole pears, algae meal (source of DHA, EPA), pea fiber, sweet potato, pumpkin, butternut squash, parsnips, carrots, spinach, cranberries, blueberries, kelp, chicory root, juniper berries, angelica root, marigold flowers, sweet fennel, peppermint leaf, lavender, rosemary, plus premium vitamins and minerals.

ANALTICAL CONSTITUENTSCrude protein (min.) 25 %

Now he is on 50-50 mix of both kibbles.

Unlike the other grain-based kibbles; Acana Okanagan Apple aren't as grainy. It is almost as compact as Orijen 6 fish and smaller in size too which will be perfect for smaller dogs. TOto is a lazy dog, he prefer smallers kibbles or biscuits. He will refused biscuit that are too big, and I have to break them to smaller pieces for him.

As compared, Orijen 6 fish kibbles has a smoother surface.

We topped TOto's kibbles with Stella and Chewy; 'All-natural frozen and freeze-dried raw pet food' for dogs. THIS is very expensive, so we use them sparingly, hahaha!

Nancy Cultured low fat Cottage Cheese is a STAPLE.

This helps with his tummy and gives TOto firm firm poop with its LIVE CULTURE!

Recently TOto has been waking up in the middle of the night @4am, and scratching himself relentlessly. We really do not know what to do and we took a risk and give him ONE Fish Oil Capsule every dinner.

And the effect is very obvious, by the 2nd night he stops waking up and scratching himself.

Even Hubs can see the result and was really amazed.

And we are lucky this is on discount at GNC, only USD9.99 for 360 capsule!

One very OBVIOUS reaction from TOto that he loves Acana Okanagan Apple, he didn't pick out his Wellness Simple kibbles and place them on the floor. He has this bad habit of picking out a few Wellness Simple kibbles when he starts his dinner, so weird.

Now he just gobbles everything down.

Today TOto jolted up by the word, "DAYCAMP"!

TOto jumped UP, shake-shake and is all prepare to go BUT mammeee says I have to finish my breakfast before I can go! And then, TOto have to wait for Daddeee washup! Daddeee always VERY slow! Daddeee took his OWN SWEET time to washup and change, rawwwrrr ...

Today TOto see (*)Girlfriend's staff, so happy!

GOsh, TOto sooooooooooo LATE! Party already start without TOto!

The new daycamp ROCK! They have a MIXED CAMP; BIG dogs and small Dogs play together. TOto happy! TOto loves; Huskies, German Shepards, and Goldendoodle!

TOto's new best friend is here today!

TOto and Z'ryn wrestle the whole day, TOto am the overall CHAMPION.

Mammeee will be so PROUD of TOto!

Mammeee and Dadddeee came late to fetch me, TOto am always the last to go home.

TOto so hungry but TOto have to be BATH and then sit pretty BEFORE I can eat!

*One of TOto's girlfriend staffs from previous Camp was transferred here, and TOto regconised her immediately and gotten used to the camp just because of her. We are lucky because the previous few times we brought TOto, he is so reluctant to go into camp with the staffs in this current Camp.

2 years ago @ Denver...

We made 1 phone call, Maximillion was just born a day before we call.

When we saw him, it was LOVE at first sight.

After patiently waiting for 8 weeks, we drove 8 hours to Kansas for him.

We don't want him to be traumatized by flying at 8 weeks old ...

When I held him in my arm, I can feel the connection immediately and knew we will be connected this way for the rest of our life.

TOto was covered in a blankie and slept in my arm all the way home.

We only have to stop once for him to do his business.

He was only 4lbs then ...

Finally when he is home, he fit just right in ...

And I know then TOto is the missing piece in our life.

We are finally a family unit.

A Better 4th DAY

4th day is a much better day!

His need to go down as often has stopped, he even refused to go down in the morning with Daddeee!

It was still raining in the morning but when the weather got better in the afternoon like 3pm, he cannot wait to run out! The ground is WET, which explains his Tee preventing his belly from getting too dirty but SO CUTE right ...

Once out of the gate, he find his 'SPOT' and finally his poopoo can form SHAPE!

What a relieved when I see his poop!

I will miss the sticky TOto but hope he gets better soon!

It is so rare for TOto to nap on my lap but he did it so often during the 3-4 days that he is not feeling well. Once I felt asleep on the sofa in a sitting, leg cross position, by the time I open my eyes TOto has automatically jump up the sofa and walk himself on my lap and positioning himself in my lap ...

Well he is in daycamp today, and I missed having him around.

TOto 2012 starts with a 'BLAST'!

This blast is not 'HAPPY' blast, more like Diarrhea blasting ...

On Monday, during our usual morning walks; I realised TOto has half okok poop and half sluggish poop. I thought it was the usual but then TOto continues to try pooping for a few times but only liquid/gelly stuffs came out. SOmetimes only air came out! And when we go home he refused food and drink. SO WE CONFIRM, DIARRHEA!

On the first day, he spend so much time on the Balcony I thought he accepted our new home.

Later I realised he was there because he did't want to dirty our home.

And true enough, he vomitted on the balcony! He really understand he cannot dirty the inside of our new home. And I guess his tummy is really uncomfortable and he was so worried he might dirty the interior.

During the 2 days, he was very stick and very lethargic.

And when he is sick, he will always rest himself right infront of the heater.

On the first day, I brought him down more regularly, most of the time, I brought him down just in time ...

But on the first night, at about 3am TOto suddenly woke up and was WHINING persistantly!

TOto has stopped his 'Midnight Whining' habit since we move here. So I thought TOto was just being naughty and when I grabbed him and hold him down but he still tried to escape and sat at the door whining. My instinct overcome my 'sleepiness', open the door and walked out with TOto. Immediately TOto lead me to the door and sat at the dolphin carpet. Aaaaah, TOto was telling me he needs to GO DOWN like IMMEDIATE.

I start to change (5 degreeC), and chopchop bring him down; TRUE enough he walked straight to his 'favourite' spot and 'blasted'!

In the 3 days he never dirtied the place and always 'informed' us in his own ways that he need to go down and most time he will try to get my attention and he will be sitting at the dolphin carpet. And he didn't misused this trust, every time he went down, he was really URGENT and blasted almost immediately when we touch ground.

When TOto is trying to 'tell' us what he wants and we get it; he would be so excited wagging his tail, skipping around with us, while we prepare to go down! Hahaha like how we humanbeans are so excited and happy when we try to teach TOto something and he understand us!

I was so worried for this few days to see TOto suffering like that but was so proud of him! So heartpain to see TOto keep trying so hard to poop out watery gelly stuffs. I have to walked him longer during each walk because his tummy is so uncomfortable; you see TOto walk and poop, walk and then try to poop again for a good 30minutes - 40minutes. Sometime when I get impatient and try to pull him home, he refused pull back and then he will walk away and blast again.

Now I know how to differentiate when TOto really need to do his business or just being naughty refusing to go home. When he still need to pee or poop, TOto will give you EYE CONTACT, when he is pulling against your leash! If not his eye is looking downwards or looking away!

But being the cheerful TOto; he will always be wagging happily when Daddeee is back from work! And seems like he has forgotton that he is in pain and bring 'boing boing' out. Daddeee is his miracle pill.

According to what we read online we prepare; Rice and minced turkey and also gave him Pepto to help with his diarrhea.

Today is the 4th day, his frequent trips to do his business has stopped but I have yet to see his poop this morning. Cross-finger he has recover and I did see him 'running' and 'wagging' his tails in his sleep. It must be happy dream!

We are finally DONE packing the LIVING ROOM!

He is right opposite me enjoying himself on the foldable black lounge chair!

After all the hooo-haaa of the move, he looks so much more relax right?

I think somehow they are very emotionally attached to ours.

During the move, he can sense our 不安 (uneasiness, disturbed, fidgety) so he himself goes into a defensive panicky, insecure mode! As 'Alpha' maybe we should be more reassuring but times like this are stressful to us humanbeans too! This is MY first time moving, so I am at lost what will happen. And TOto sure absorbed our 'stress' like A SPONGE! But now that everything is settled, he seems to be 'acting' better too!

Hope the weather gets better and I can spend more time with him in our huge-ass balcony so he can enjoy himself out there like he used to.

Organic Minced LAMB!

Almost 2 weeks, TOto is getting used to the house and the environment.
BUT he still doesn't like spending time in the Balcony!
WHY? Hmmmmmmmm ...

I have always wanted to add some 'REAL' food into TOto's diet. Just some meat topping in his usual kibbles, but Hubs insist that TOto must eat Organic and only LAMB! And we seldom see minced lamb in the grocery stores here.

Our recent minced pork purchase is on 'promotion' and only US$0.99/lb! You see how much Daddeee is willing to SPEND on TOto! So stingy with mammeee but when it comes to TOto everything has to be the best, no expense is spared.

The steamer did provide a plastic bowl but I used my Lock&lock Silby Ceramic Plate.

The 1lb minced lamb seems to SHRINK ALOT!

I rearrange them in my aluminum baking cups.

ONLY 11 and these cups are SMALL!

And keep them in Lock&lock Freezer Lock to freeze them for later use!

TOto never leave my sight for ONE MOMENT!

TOto loves how the bed and window ledge just JOINS together!

He can watch out the window and sleep at the same time ...

It is so funny how his rested his chin on the ledge, the convenience of just opening his eyes when the need arises! The windows here are so much clearer, he can see and guard the house right at this corner!

Hahaha on ALERT at all times!

TOto is slowly getting use to the house. Tonight he tries to nap alone outside at the living room area when we are both inside the bedroom! At first it was right outside, then he slept further and further away, hahaha.

Thanks for all the concern and advice, I think TOto is slowly settling. I guess moving is like a breakup, TOto just needs some time to adjust and recuperate from the separation! Or maybe he senses the tension we felt during our move, and TOto is projecting OUR emotions!

What a softy!

It was a rare good day, and we brought TOto for a long walk right behind our apartment. It was a short trail to a small park! TOto was very happy because Daddeee tag along ...

Yes the SUN is shining brightly and TOto is squinting!

TOto is more relaxed in the house today, at least he is sleeping around the house.

Maybe because we are more relaxed today; we sort of stop all the unpacking and decide to just live as normal!

TOto just finished his chewing session!

We really need to teach him how to KEEP HIS TOYS.

So far TOto is satisfied with where we kept his 2 crates, and he is seen using the crate quite often.

But he is most relaxed on our old bed!

Luckily we decide to keep the bed ...

I can feel that TOto is starting to relax abit more.

TOto days are so GREY!

TOto has this moody face everyday and he still doesn't enjoy the balcony as much as the previous old apartment's Balcony. Sometimes he will just sit at the door, and when I open for him; he doesn't want to go out. If not he just go out for a while, and he wants to comes in. He doesn't loiter in the Balcony anymore. The Balcony is always his private 'sanctuary'!

He kept staring at the door.

TOto seems to be thinking,"When we going home?"

Then he seems to look at me and asked me,"Mom, when we going home huh?"

Now we understand why TOto seems to be such a darling at MrK home. I guess he just can't wait to go home so his focus is to wait for US to come fetch him home. Same as in the new apartment, he follows us everywhere and dare not stay in the Balcony might be because he scare we missed him out and forget to bring him 'home'! The first few days was worst, he kept requesting one of us to carry him or hold him. So most of the time, either me or Hubby has to hold him or sit with him; and the other one does all the dirty work.

He isn't as posessive in the new home and it doesn't matter what is put where and he doesn't sniff out the new furniture or equipment. He didn't even ROLL himself at the new sofa like how he will always do when he was over at MrK home. He really treat this as a hotel, thinking we will LEAVE soon and GO HOME!

He dare not takes his usual afternoon naps, and usually he waited for us before he dare to really sleep. So he only sleeps about 3-4am every night. He is so tired ...

Hopes he settle down soon!

Still adapting to the move ...

TOto is still grasping the concept of the move. He still feels like we are going on a vacation and we'll be going back 'home' soon! He seems so lost in the new home, and doesn't spend much time in the HUGE balcony that we thought he would LOVE! He would just walked out of the balcony and then comes right back in. Sometimes he will sit right at the balcony door and I thought he wants to go out but when I open the door, he refused to go out; so weird.

And the 'difference' is so obvious when we brought TOto back to the 'old' apartment. Once he is out of the car, you can see his tail wagging left,right,left,right! And when we goes back to the apartment, he immediately relaxed himself right on the balcony, if not he will starts his 'runny frenzy' in the apartment and start rolling himself on the back like he always do.

I hope he get used to the idea real soon and make himself comfortable in the BIG NEW HOME!

We are MOVING!

YEAH, we are moving like SOON finally!

The moving, packing and the shuffling is making TOto very insecure. TOto seems very 'messedup', he is not sure what is happening and we can sense his lost. And when both of us are busy packing, he will come look for me and wants me to carry him. So most of the time, I am carrying or looking after TOto; and Hub is the one doing all the packing. The few days we are packing, he suddenly becomes a 'lap dog', who just wants my attention and be near me!

Although we are busy preparing for the move but we still bring him to the dog park everyday.

And we came back today, both of us started packing again because we'll be moving in another 2 days. And I find TOto in one corner, finding solace with Turtle!!!

TUrtle is always the best friend and ALWAY there for him!

TUrtle will not be packed in any BOXES; TUrtle will be in Mammeee HAND CARRY BAG!!

Anything can get lost but NOT TURTLE!

TOto's Report : Btow wOOw Wone Twoot ~

TOto, don't know what the big deal twoday! But mammeee says TOto cannot move and take this silly bowtograph when they are keeping the X'mas tree. I bow wow wow likey the tree! TOto find a BIG chew chew under the tree a few days ago and it was yummmmy!

TOto don't like new year, TOto peacefully snoozing in the patio when TOto heard lots of LOUD BANG BANG. TOto tot what happen! Mammeee says not scared, and tell me it is just fireworks! TOto hate fireworks! Don't know why mammeee loves them so much, TOto always scared silly by them, ALWAY!

Fish 4 DOGS - Sea Jerky!

But let's look at what is the CON of this product!

The first time, TOto is still very careful with the Fish Jerky. He tried to lick till the Jerky is soft and chewy before he chew into them and we can hear him drinking alot of water so that he can use the saliva to soften the chew. INNOVATIVE thinking huh!!!

But after a few time, he eat the chew like he is eating KEROPOK!

He just chew through the jerky!

So noisy hahahaha!

All the bits and pieces will fall on the ground and he will LICK up every single bits till the floor is CLEAN!

But the bits are all stuck in his beard!!!

SO DIRTY!

It is so funny to see him trying to lick himself clean but those bits are so slimy and sticky, they are like superglued to his beard!!

TOto, you dirty DOG!

We have to use a flea comb to come out his fur!!

CON, alot of clean up after his Fish Jerky 'keropok'!

In the end we still have to use a brush to wash our Flea Comb ...

But it seems like a very natural healthy treat for TOto.

I tasted them, it is not salty like I imagine them to be!! Hahaha, the first time TOto drank so much water, my first thought was 'Gosh' was it that salty and I tasted that slimy jerky for the sake of TOto (The power of mammeee's love!). We have yet to see them in store in USA, we will try to look harder ...

Orijen + Wellness kibbles!

TOto is on Orijen Fish and Wellness Simple Duck, for some reason TOto's love DUCKY taste!

We usally get 2 small packets for the 2 brand, because we prefer them to be as fresh as possible and bigger packets meant it will take longer for TOto to finish the kibbles; and the kibbles might get stale.

So far this 2 mixture + Nancy Cottage Cheese gave TOto's darkdarkhardhard poop!

Hubbie will use a scoop to mix it up; scoop by scoop from the 2 different brand into TOto's dedicated Kibble's container. And our trusted container is of course from Lock&Lock; Lock & Lock Rectangular Container with Handle and Tray. The only brand of container that is VALUE/QUALITY for MONEY! Containers made specifically for dogs are RIDICULOUS priced and of LOW quality products! We spent alot of time and research on TOto's container and even spent some $$$ on one but we end up using Lock&Lock brand!

A 41.6 Cup Container last TOto for about 2 months!

A little extra effort to make sure TOto's has fresh supplies of kibbles ...

Ultimately, I would love to change to a Lock & Lock Storage 50-Cup Storage Bin, Includes Cup. Hmmmmmm maybe after I move ba!

Meanwhile it will be my trusty Rectangular Container with Handle!

Dog Park EVERYDAY, what's in the BAG!?

The weather is very SPRING this few days and TOto goes to the dogpark EVERYDAY!

I realised only TOto has this SPECIAL bag that is hang on the gate which is used for ONLY TOto's stuffs! In the past we used to have this "Minnie mouse" bag but I have upgraded to this bag that I purchased from Taiwan.

TOto will parked himself right under his bag when he wants a drink OR when he just want to play 'fetch'! TOto knows his water, and ballball is in the bag!

I love the cutesy Animal design; LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

Let's see what is inside TOto's personal bag!

We always bring our own filtered water using Lock & Lock Mountain Water Bottle. It's BPA free and very durable, using Eastman Chemical Co.'s new material Tritan copolyester. We try to be as health conscious for TOto as much as possible; to the extend of the material of his water bottle, hahaha!

The next most important things to bring, and of course his 'toys'; the Ball launcher is a saver for our wrist, hand and back! He can play a few hours of fetch and still come home begging to play MORE!

An extra item in the bag; the rubber frisbee. Frisbee-ing is what my Hub hopes TOto can do, but I gave up the idea of TOto being a 'Frisbee' Dog. TOto is just not meant to play frisbee. Whereas alot of people watch in awe when TOto plays 'fetch' and that is when I realised there are alot of dogs that do not know how to play fetch!! They just chase after the ball but NEVER bring it back!!

TOto new foldable bowl!

You'll be surprised how many people do not bring water for their dogs! And that's the reason we bring such a big bottle of water. During the hotter days, we bring even a bigger bottle for TOto AND, all other dogs in the park! We are not that '伟大' (great), we just don't want TOto to end up having nothing to drink. Because when it comes to sharing, TOto is s.t.u.p.i.d; no matter how thirsty he is, he will always allow the other dogs to drink first! *faint* And sometimes there will be a very thirsty dog that just park himself next to our drinking bowl and finish everything, *Faint*!

And lastly a Lock&Lock container for TOto's snack after his day in the park!

We usually feed him some snacks on the car and TOto will usually gobble all the biscuits and goes to sleep!

The other miscellaneous items would be 'wet tissue' and poop bag. There are alot of times when TOto just got poop on him or gotten peed at! *Faint*, TOto is so 'S.L.O.W' sometimes! We are that typical 'kiasu/kiasee' (Scare to lose/Scare to die) Singaporean couple in an America Dog Park.

A SLEEPY dog on X'Mas EvE!

We will be moving VERY SOON and TOto will have lesser chance to visit his current DAYCAMP! I hate that to happen because the staffs REALLY REALLY LOVE TOto. They give TOto hugs and kisses!! They really DO NOT have to do that but they DID! TOto always have special CONCESSION. SOmetimes when we called they will say the daycamp is full but when we mention it is TOto; they wll 'shift around' and TOto will be 'SQUEEZED' IN! We are very grateful to the staffs! When we usually bring TOto to daycamp, TOto will run into their office, and GIVE all the staffs in the office some hugs and kisses before he goes into camp; YAH all the staffs in the office!

So recently we try to send TOto in as much as possible and we end up with a SILLY, SLEEPY DOG ...

LOOK how his head is hang out of his crate, hahaha!

And yah HE IS SLEEPING!

A Tired sticky TOto

A very tired dog who is just back from daycamp, bathed and had dinner was so tired but still wriggle his way into Mammeee's hug and felt asleep! Lucky it takes only a good 10 minutes for TOto to feel uncomfortable and wriggle himself out, hahaha! If not Mammeee arms might just go NUMB, he is like a 20lb bag of RICE!

Recently TOto is a little sticky, like a huge furry sticker!

When he is tired or just not feeling well, he will climb up onto my lap and snuggle. SO RARE! But it happened a few times. He will sit on the floor and stare at me, and when I nod my head he will jump up and position himself. SO CUTE!!

Really 'buay tahan' TOto, in the middle of the night don't want to sleep and decide to bring in his Antler chew and started chewing vigorously! We saw TOto's chewing and suddenly thought of Lily Allen song, so funny right. It is the background music for this video, hahaha ...

After 20 minutes then he happy, "gam wan" go to sleep.

Big BOYS club!

Today is a lucky day for TOto, there were a bunch of BIG BOYS who were willing to play with him! And TOto was especially hooked to this Border Collie, named Becca, who is willing to play 1-1 with TOto for the rest of the day. Usually Border Collies just ignores TOto! TOto had tried to 'attract' a few Collies to play with him before but TOto is just too small and slow for them!

In the end we realised Becca was just a 8 months old puppy Collie, which EXPLAINS WHY!
Puppies play with EVERYONE, hahaha! But TOto does bring smiles and laughter to everyone around the Big Boys area!

We kept wondering why TOto loves being in the Big Boys' area? And one of our guesses, TOto loves being chased, and the BIG BOYS are more willing to chase after TOto. But in the small dogs area; all the smaller dogs want to be chased!! I wonder WHY? But I am happy because the BIG BOYS really drain out TOto thoroughly! When we walked back to the small dogs area preparing to go home, he is always more than HAPPY to GO HOME and SLEEP!

I would have better videos showing how Becca and TOto played, but the weather is tooooooo COLD for mammeee to expose her hand for long period of time doing video-ing.

This very clever bulldog realised that he can just climb onto the slide, stand up and hold on to the wall and he can check out what is happening to the outside wall. SO CLEVER!

Teeth Brushing, 刷牙咯!

Brushing teeth usually means mammeee hand/finger wrestling match with TOto's tongue and jaw!! TOto loves the toothpaste's taste but he will try to wrestle the toothbrush out of his mouth once he get the paste!! Mammeee's job is to try brush as much of his teeth and not let TOto's has too much of the toothpaste, hahaha!! Daddeee give up brushing TOto because Daddeee sees that Mammeee is more violent and just BRUSH her way through despite the violent protest, and the blood (not mine, but TOto's gum).

But ODDLY despite all the protest while brushing, TOto will still come over when we say,"刷牙咯!". And lie there on my lap without trying to wriggle away. But he will still use his two front paws to push my hand away. But Daddeee will usually 'CUFF' his paws hahahaha ...

TOto tot if TOto looks good for the photograph, Daddeee will cut me a cake! But Daddeee says TOto cannot eat Chocolate. WHAT!! Why don't they buy strawberry cake then!? TOto can have strawberry right?? But TOto loves mammeee so ALL is forgiven, TOto can settle for 'Biscuit'!

Daddeee says TOto will have a cake for NEXT year birthday!!

TOto finds 'NO KICK' in the small dog area and recently in the small dogs area, TOto just wants to play fetch with Hub and me, and only once in a while he will finds a khaki that is his size or weight to play with. And recently, he refused to play with dogs that are smaller. SO TOto loves it when a BIGGER breed puppy ventures in but that is very rare. Not that we don't like to play fetch with TOto but an hour of wrestling match = to a 3 hour of ball fetching. Running to fetch ball, doesn't tires TOto out AT ALL!

So we try to bring TOto over to the bigger dog area but the BIG DOGS will find TOto too small to play with and will usually ignore him. Today TOto has been eyeing on this 'Border Collie' but he was ignore by the Collie. But at one point TOto finally manage to attract at least 5 big dogs to chase after TOto around, like TOto was a little white rabbit! There were like a Labrador, a Australian Sheperd, a Doberman, the Border Collie and a Boxer!

All of them were playing, nibbling and chasing in a huge rowdy group. The Border were chewing onto TOto's thigh while the Doberman was trying to get TOto's neck. And the Labrador was trying to protect TOto and was barking at the Doberman, and the Sheperd was just running and jumping everywhere and the Boxer was trying to get the Doberman.

I think the usual small dog owner would be so worried because TOto was like a rabbit amidst them, but we are just LAUGHING away at TOto's predicament. I was busy chatting and forgot to take video. It is so funny watching TOto running, rolling, jumping and faking his way around these BIG HUGE DOGS!

Dogpark EVERYDAY!

On one of the rare day when TOto was still sleeping in the bedroom, while Hub and me is already awake at the livng room. We decide to do a test on TOto's hearing. I whispered very, very softly,"要不要带它去." We both stared at the bedroom door anticipating what TOto would do. Hmmmm no response, when we decide to give up, we can see TOto suddenly trotter double speed out of the bedroom with his fur still PRESS flat on his panicky face, hahaha!! I guess TOto hesitate for a moment and then hear no response and starts to panic that we left him out! It was so funny!!

And we know sometimes when we shout till our throats hurt and they refused to do what we are saying doesn't mean they didn't hear us hahaha, they just CHOOSE to IGNORE us!

Anyway, Hub has yet to start work so we have been bringing TOto to the dog park EVERYDAY!

It is VERY COLD recently, Mammeee has to wear alot of layers of clothing and cover myself up so that I can stand in the cold empty field for a few hours! I look like an eskimo huh, hahaha ...

Hub says when we play, it looks like a 'ALIEN ABDUCTION'!

The grass are drying up, and TOto kept rolling himself on the grass; SO DIRTY!!

Arrrrrrghhhh, we have to rinse him everyday!

And on a good day, TOto would find a 'partner' to wrestle, chase and fight with!

So mammeee can sleep through the night!

Today is one day after Thanksgiving, and we are worried that, they aren't any dogs around but we are sooooooooooo wrong. The small dogs area has lesser dogs so we brought TOto to the big boys area!

And TOto found love with this Husky. Husky owners were so amused with him playing with TOto!! They say, this Husky seldom plays with small dogs and they are wondering why he is so infatuated with TOto and refused to go home hahaha! That is the 'Power' of our TOto!

I call him my furball, meowy (white furry cat), blah blah white sheep or Mary's little lamb!

My Hub refer TOto as the BIG WHITE WOLF, or Gigantic Polar bear or sometimes the FEROCIOUS WHITE LION. (See how a Man and a Woman view differ looking at a small/medium size dog?)

Yeah ELK antler!

I bought a ELk Antler intending to allow TOto to bring it over to MrK house but by the time it is nearer, the Antler is almost finish and dangerously sharp and has to be supervised for the chew! MrK is already very busy with his work, so it is unfair that MrK has to spend time supervising TOto chewing!!

Maple loves them too, and chewed like there is no tomorrow~

Yeah I love them mostly because they don't stained or smelt like some 'chew' does!

All natural and naturally expensive too, I think I gotten them for about USD9+ for a few days of fun!

And this is to show you, how HAPPY TOto is with his Antler, dancing with his TAIL!

Sunset, Daddeee where???

Just a few days ago, we were discussing, "Will TOto starts to think of us, and miss us?"
The answer is a affirmative yes ...

One obvious incident ...
One day, Daddeee worked OVERTIME, TOto become so paranoid and he cannot leave his eye off where daddeee is supposed to walk home; downstairs pavement. And no matter where TOto is, on his Patio Bed
Or right beside Mammeee, his eyes are always at the DOOR ...

At Patio, TOto kept seeing the WRONG person and thought Hub is back and kept whining at the door or WHINE at me like I kept my husband from coming home. BUT I KNEW for sure Hub is at work. So he must have realised that Daddeee is supposed to come home BY NOW! So he does REMEMBER and think of US!

So Dogs doesn't live for the moment, he does think think of something that are not here now ...

Less than a WEEK!!!

Time passes so fast this time round that I am in Singapore.

My mom sure misses ME but she still has my brother, and I misses TOto so much!

We have been watching so many episodes of Cesar Millan and there are some NEW stuffs we want to 'TRAIN' him, hahaha! Especially 'NO CHASING' of squirrels, TOto has to be more discipline now that he is OLDER. We shouldn't be giving him excuses like," Aww he is still a PUPPY!" I don't really agree with Cesar Millan's way but I guess most of the dogs he dealt with are really seriously psychologically damage which require some 'extreme' measures.

I guess TOto just need a MORE ASSERTIVE Mammeee to say NO!

Everyone will be so surprise to know I am that 'useless' Mammeee who gives in to everything hahaha! Everyone always thought I will always be the disciplinarian in the family!

In Taiwan you can bring your dogs ANYWHERE as long as he is crated! We see them in Shopping Centres, Restaurants, Hot Spring, Alishan, Sun Moon Lake; EVERYWHERE!

And starts to scratch and paw, whine and bark wanting to come out ...

We really have to 'HARDEN' our heart to walk away from TOto.

By the way, that dog next to TOto's crate is Snicker.

That PUG is TOto's nemesis

Snicker is TOto's enemy! TOto hates him to the CORE! Snicker always like to be the BOSS of the camp and would always bully the newcomer in the camp! We see TOto being bullied a few times, and TOto would always run far far away from Snicker, doesn't even allow Snicker to have the complimentary sniff! We complained a few times but then P3tsmart would always say, Snicker hasn't hurt any dog so they cannot do anything. GOsh, need an incident to ban a dog? Hopefully the HURT dog is NOT MINE, if not there'll be HELL to pay!

Another 9 more days to go!!

We have been giving TOto the "Go Back Singapore" pep talk everyday, a few times a day!

We kept on assuring him we will be back in THIRTY DAYS; as frequently as we can. I don't how much he can understand but he has been very 'sticky' recently. TOto has been snuggling with me for the past few nights! Usually he will just move away but this few nights he just snuggle closer ...

This morning when I am still lazing in bed, Toto 'sat' in between my legs helping me fend off HOUSEFLIES while I refuse to move or wake up. Usually he will follow the houseflies about the house, 'fighting' them. But today he just sat right there defending the 'sleeping' mammeee, just chasing the houseflies away!

So sweet right, my heart melted right there, got to wakey wakey to bring my brave boi down for his morning walk!

Haha too tired from fending off houseflies today!

We can throw EVERYTHING away from my home except this COFFEE TABLE.

This is his private digging ground, bedroom, playground, and hiding place.

2011 Half Annual Bordetella Shot

TOto is now 1 year 8 months old weighing in at a healthy weight of 19.1lbs.

Vet says TOto has very clean ear and teeth.

Mammeee PLUCK TOto ears very often and washed them out.

And we try to brush TOto as much as we can!

And Vet is impressed that TOto is allergy free!

Yup because we hand-stripped him and is very strict with his diet. But of course one day I wished to convert him to half home cook, and half kibble.

This is TOto Bordetella that is 'shot' through the nose!

And Mrs Vet remember TOto is the dog that doesn't bark, nip or bite.

TOto remember the vet too and was trying to HIDE his butt away from Mrs VET as much as he can! His tail was trying so hard to cover his butt-h*le! It was so funny! He remember all the 'worm' test that they do! All end well, and TOto is all ready for DAYCAMP everyday starting next week!

The clinic is infested with migrating birds today, so scary!

Next appointment will be in APRIL 2012.

Pep't talk, really?

The weather is really good this 2 days, and TOto should be in bed sleeping on a cold, windy Saturday night.

He had a long day; Agility in the morning and we brought him out for a long walk at Legacy Drive.

But he refuses to sleep, keep walking in and out barking at other dogs on the Patio. Even when we blocked him in the bedroom, he will whine to go out. Up till about 2am he was still barking on the Patio, I cannot stand it anymore, I carried him in and crated him!

When he walked into the crate, he didn't lie down; he was in a half squat position. He was facing the opposite direction, turn his face gave me one look and turn away ...

NEVER TURNED BACK!

I knew he was angry and told my husband to do something about it.

My husband open the crate, ask him to lie down and gave him a PEP TALK!

Conversation about how he has a long day, and he was tired and we did give him a long walk at the park. And it is late, so he should be sleeping etc etc. He has to be a good boy, etc etc. I want to 'FAINT'!

And right after the PEP TALK, he walked out DIRECTLY to his usual bed area and sleep!

YOU WANT TO KILL HIM OR NOT!

Arrrghhhh ...

I think his 18month old, "Teenage rebellious phase" is HERE!

When TOto is just alone with mammeee, he is this perfect dog that just rested the day away ...

When Daddeee is around, did you notice the 'Evil twinkle' in his eye!?

Our westie TOto @ Level 1 Fun Xdog Agility Lesson 4

TOto doesn't seems to enjoy 'Agility' as much as we wants him to! When we mention the word to him; his eyes doesn't light up like the word 'Dog Park' or 'Walk walk'. He will gives you a 'Huh, ok' look and look away immediately! I hate to see TOto being pull about by his leash too. I guess if we want TOto to perform well and enjoy the game it has to be at our own pace and practises without distraction. In my opinion, I think TOto can sense Dadddeee itsy-bitsy annoyance or frustration and plus TOto is so condition to think that they are 'free-falling' treats everywhere, he just couldn't focus and concentrate on his 'Job'!

But when TOto gets to play with the gigantic 100+lbs Leonberger in class, he suddenly turns into a active happy puppy rolling about. We should start considering other 'Sports' for TOto.

Today's video has 2 part; 1st is his agility run through and 2nd part is how TOto play with a 100+lbs leonberger! This is the first time I have seen this breed of dog, and they are so GIGANTIC but so gentle. They looks like they are playing with hamster when they play with TOto, so funny!

Dog Park 'Pet' Peeves

There are so much itsy bitsy stuffs that one find annoying when in a dog park. Generally the most disgusting ones are not picking up poopsie after their dog!

And very high on my list next would be when a dog is so 'under-socialised', it will ask its Mommy to carry it when another dog approaches and the mother did just that! I am no expert but I feel that, that is the WRONG way to teach your dog on socialising. It always left TOto wanting to JUMP on the person to reach the dog which is in her arm!! In the end, the brat/no-manners dog become TOto! I mean c'mon, they just want to sniff each other butt, TOto is not going to chew its head off!

When TOto is still a puppy, we will squat down, hold on to TOto chest make him sit and let the other dog approach. And if the other dog is friendly, they will start to play. That is all to socialisation! Arrgh!

If you LOVE to just carry your dog in your hand KINDLY DO SO AT HOME! Dog Park is for doggies to run on the ground, socialise and mingle on a neutral fair ground; not to let them learn bad habit such as this!

Arrrrghhh ...

So the whole night, this lady is carrying the dog in her arm. When she sat on the bench, her dog is on the lap!

Garlic Yes or NO?

Ever since I started my first biscuit baking, I never stop; for one reason this is TOto's vitamin biscuits! Initially we are skeptical whether this pills does work on TOto but on a few occassion that I didn't bake these biscuits; TOto brought home 'Puppy warts'.Canine papilloma virus is contagious and high likely TOto got it from daycamp or dogparks! The first time when TOto gotten them at the mouth, we are so worried we research frantically! We almost brought him to the Vet as an EMERGENCY CASE in the middle of the night!

Is Garlic Good or Bad for Dogs?
Naturaldoghealthremedies.com claims that garlic boosts immunities, fights infection, enhances liver function, lowers blood fats, and repels ticks and fleas, yet cautions that large doses given to dogs on a regular basis can cause oxidative damage to red blood cells leading to Heinz-body anemia and even death. They also caution that puppies under the age of 8 weeks, dogs scheduled for surgery, and those with pre-existing anemia should not be given garlic.

The 2nd time I stop baking, TOto again gotten them on his 'FACE'! Geeesh, from then onward, this is a STAPLE and I have found the 'correct' dosage for TOto! There is one time I over-dosage the biscuit on the Garlic Pills and if TOto had more than 2 of the biscuit at one time, he will start vomiting! I had to threw that batch away and re-bake. After the 2nd recurrence of the Canine papilloma virus, even my Husband is a convert and will remind me that my biscuit is running low ...

This is the best combo for TOto; 6 Garlic Oil Perles Softgels, and 6 salmon oil Softgels .

His favorite is still, Peanut Butter and I added Apple sauce this time round!

Ingredient (Estimation) : 1 cup of wholewheat flour, 1 mashed banana, 1/4 cup of Peanut Butter, 1/4 cup of Apple sauce, 1 tbsp of flaxseed and 1/4 cup of Rolled Oats.

I slow baked them using 320C for first 30minutes and 300C for another 30minutes! Make sure the biscuit are dry enough to last for at least a month! And one cup of flour usually yield 2 cups of biscuits!

The most time-consuming part of the baking is ROLLING them into individual 1/2tsp of balls! But TOto loves them when I throw the biscuit and the biscuit bounces everywhere. He will think that the biscuit is a little hamster and start chasing and capturing the biscuit and then throwing the biscuit about and playing with the biscuit for sometime before he devour his 'prey'! It is so satisfying watching him play with this special treat like there is a 'ritual' right before he eat Mammeee's love biscuit!

Please understand this is based on our own experience.

Grand Opening of Frisco Dog Park

There are so many events this weekend in our area, but we have our errands to run in the afternoon, BUT we still manage to rush to this doggie event at the very last minute!

We have been waiting for Frisco Dog Park to open up for years, we thought this will be nearer to us! But in the end it is about the same distance as going to Lewisville Dog Park.

By the time we reached the park, most of the stalls are closing up.

It's ok we are here to visit the dog park.

The Carpark area are close off for Stalls to be set up.

The new park is CLEAN and everything smell so 'fresh'.

There is a shaded area for the 'beans' to sit and it comes with tables too! I guess not long before the area will be VERY DIRTY with food and drinks thrown everywhere especially if the 'beans' are not automatic enough. BAD IDEA!!

The park is not flat ground, it is sloped down; BAD idea number 2! Too much BLIND SPOT.

Doggies' owner might not spot their dogs pooping or being naughty, if they just sit their ass in the shaded pavilion. And most owner DO THAT!

There are water pipes and water point, INSIDE the dogpark; BAD IDEA number 3! Usually these water area create all these puddles that make the ground MUDDY and DIRTY! Gosh, there this other westie was so dirty playing in the water, he become so dirty and muddy!! I still prefer the water point to be OUTSIDE the dogpark!

We sat at the bottom of the park near some shade where alot of dogs are crowded here ...

TOto enjoyed his stay here but I still prefer Lewisville dogpark; SIMPLE and CLEAN! The landscape of this park is really good but then I guess the 'bean' really think too much into 'designing' the dogpark but they didn't realise; DOGS, they really didn't need much, JUST EMPTY flat ground to run and play in! The landscape although pretty but too complicated for my liking!

I guess we won't be coming here very often!

It all about TOto (Sat) Pt 3 - Westies GONE WILD @ Toyota Lewisville Dogpark

Yeah Part III!
We muster out last breath of energy to bring TOto to the DOGPARK. The weather is FANTASTIC-O, and it is a Saturday, we are 100% sure that the dogpark will be crowded!

And TOto become the 'STAR' once he stepped in, every doggies wants a piece of him and he was too overwhelm to play! Hahaha ~

In the end, the three of us was so dead TIRED!

He didn't even have the strength to open his eyes for the camera, and snuggled himself on this 3 layer-bed!

And I thought he wouldn't wake up for his 5am Guard-duty but he still WAKE up for it!

It is really a long day for the 3 of us!

Counting down 2 more weeks to go home ...

It all about TOto (Sat) Pt 2 - 17th Annual Dog Day Afternoon

The event, benefiting Operation Kindness, Dallas' oldest no-kill animal shelter, has vendors offering samples and free goody bags, a pet psychic, an alumni parade and face painting for the humans. Plus there's live music by GT Texas, not to mention complimentary microchipping for the first 50 dogs. The party takes place at Flag Pole Hill located at White Rock Lake from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Right after Agility, we drove 40minutes to another event at Flagpole hill ...

Many people and doggies attended the event!

There were something for the kid too!

The park was nice with lots of green to run about ...

It all about TOto (Sat) Pt 1 - Fun XDog Agility Pt. 3/6

It is so difficult for TOto to concentrate!
TOto have to sniff out all corners and because he has found treats before he thinks that there are treats everywhere! Even his own treats/biscuits cannot make him FOCUS! I mean how can "dehydrated lamb" and "chewy treat" win over 'Oily Tuna' and 'Cheesy bits'!? The other participants drop the 'Tuna oil' everywhere!! But it is unfair to blame others because some dogs are just so focus they don't really care what is on the ground!

But we realized TOto perform better with Mammeee because of my 'Happy Voice' that help motivated him to run with me! Maybe Hubs get so 'tense' and 'frustrated', TOto can sense them somehow. And Hub refused to use his 'Gayish Happy Voice'! He says it is so embarrassing to use the 'Happy girly voice' to motivate TOto. Too bad, Mammeee just doesn't has the stamina to run the obstacle with TOto.

Well I may try it out next week!

Guess TOto cannot win Mammeee a Medal :(
But he compensates everything with his kissessss ...

After Daycamp, look what I SEE!

Usually Tuesday is Daycamp day and mammeee's housechore day.

Tonight we fetch TOto together, and when we reached home we will give TOto a rinse in the bathroom, follow by dinner and last ritual a Biscuit ...

After settling TOto, Mammeee and Dadddeee can eat in PEACE!

Usually Subway is our GO TO dinner if Mammeee is lazy to cook.

And when I turn my head to check on TOto, I see ...

So funny CAN! I wonder what happen ...

They are REAL BEST FRIEND!

mORNing MammEee, SCRATCH!

Every morning I be in the kitchen preparing Daddeee's lunchbox and TOto knows that he couldn't disturb me while I am in the kitchen 'working' but today he did the sweetest thing. He came in and sat right at my feet. But because he was not bothering me I let him be and later I realised he is 'protecting' me over a Housefly! Haha that is so funny! He is EYE-ing the housefly right next to my feet!

Anyway after my kitchen duties, right after I walked into the living room, he will start to scratch my feet non stop even when I sat right infront of my laptop, he is still scratching my feet ...

Hmmmmm, right Mammeee has yet to give TOto his morning scratchieee scratch-scratch, loves and kisses! TOto is asking for his morning's 'RIGHT' which Mammeee sometimes forget. And right after that he went into the room and napped with Daddeee!

You can forget his BREAKFAST but you can never NEVER forget his morning, "Scratch and kiss"!

New BESTIE Goldendoodle - WINSTON!

A new puppy in our community; Golden retriever + Poodle!!
He is like the cutest and clumsiest goldie and TOto loves him or they loves each other and at I think 6 months he is already HUGE or bigger than TOto. TOto has no chance in another few months!

TOto is so tired BUT still he played, wrestled and ran with Winston ...

Winston is a great puppy, at 6months he can run and play unleashed with TOto!

Winston is on the way to a walk and TOto has just come back home!

If not mammeee is almost eaten alive by Mosquitoes, they would have play on in a small area in our community! They were both good not running too far away ...

We are leaving and TOto is still charging at Winston, look at Winston eye slanting back looking at TOto ready to RUN too!! hahaha ...

But we forget to remove TOto cute tee and that tee was CHOKED FULL of puppy teeth bites!

Hahaha too bad that tee is gone for good, luckily that tee is only USD3.00!!

Level 1 - Fun XDog Agility Pt. 2/6

TOto perform so much better in his 2nd lesson, but still he gets distracted easily! He doesn'tget distracted by other dogs! He get distracted by all the treats that has fallen on the ground. Hopefully as the class progress he gets better!

Today is the 2nd day of 'Fall' and the weather is GOOD; abit chilly in the morning too.

When TOto knows that both of us are going with him, he won't walk down the stairs with only ONE OF US. He has to wait till the both of us walk down the staircase! He won't come down with me no matter how I tug him!!

That long long sharp sharp thing is TOto's tail!

Ready, GET SET ...

GO!

This MAT Is the most difficult for TOto because he has to run the plank and then STOP and DOWN for 5seconds! The excitment made it very difficult for TOto to stop. He will either OVER RUN or start sniffing the mat!

In the end we realised, Mammeee is the BEST TREAT for TOto to finish his course! As long as Mammeee is at the of his course and shout, "TOto!" he will COME, JUMP and TUNNEL through all obstacle! Yeah but Daddeee says during compeition, there can be only ONE handler. Opps :x !!

Recently TOto refused to go down for morning walks with daddeee and when mammeee ask him he immediately JUMP UP! Guess what usually, when I bring him down for morning walks he has a LONGER walk and with daddeee it is just his potty session and he has to come up! But if it is weekend, he has no problem going down with Daddeee! They really do know ...

His fur is getting thick and has abit of shedding which means "STRIPPING" time! Now during the torturous stripping sessions, he learns to just turn around and look at me with pleading eyes, kiss me and then start to walk up towards me and sit on my lap to stop me from stripping him. Mammeee has to HARDEN her heart and say, 'Thank you for your kisses but mammeee has to STRIP ON!'

3 sessions; Top front, Top Back and trimming of his face. I guess there should be another 2 more session, his front bib and tail! I might need another session with his butt too ...

That is the big bulk of fur that I have manually strip out of him, looks ALOT but there isn't much diff when you look at TOto!

"TOto, mammeee don't like to do this too! mammeee always end up with swollen thumb, and aching back because mammeee want you to be comfortable and not use a grooming table which you will have to stand for HOURS!"

Dadddeee feels that your ear fur is too short but I have to trim it short so that your furcut last longer right!? But I am rather satisfied with your round head, it does look round and fluffy right?

2hours of dog park yesterday, too tired for a good photoshoot!

But TOto, we still have about 3hours of stripping session to finish off everything!

TOto was very tired from daycamp; he came home wash up, had his dinner and napped till about 11pm! After that he kept asking for treats and we knew he was hungry and prepare 1/8cup of kibbles for him to eat just incase the next morning he refused to eat again! But he was lazy even to WALK over to his usual area to eat! He just lie down on the carpet refused to move until I MOVE the bowl to him!

It rained the night before and the ground is damp and muddy! So the programme is cancelled, but we were already out and about in the car and didn't checked out email the night before!

So we brought TOto for a spin in the car and brought him these 2 cute tee, and you cannot believe it they are only USD3.00 each! CHEAP, summer clearance; Yipppppeeeee!

There were more cute stuffs but Hubs chose the 'Ruff day' and I insist on the 'Sailor Tee'!

The cool front is REAL and we have been to the dogpark consecutively for 2 days! I hope TOto is HAPPY but he is so tired he doesn't seem to be too happy about that!

TOto's face says,"Really, we have to go to the dog park again?!!"

"Hahaha, yes baby! The weather is too good, we have to go!"

The last 16C/60F weather we have, was like in MAY and after that Texas weather is 100F all the way!

And this is one of TOto's playmate, Sophie, a 9month old Westie Puppy!

You know TOto has a good day at camp when he had his dinner and biscuit treat and goes right to SLEEP! TOto knows his 'RIGHTS', he will always DEMAND for a piece of treat or biscuit before he is willing to rest ...

He sleeps underneath the table waiting accompany Mammeee waiting for Daddeee to come back from his soccer session.

And Mammeee can blog in peace!

Kiss kiss means 'OK'

Usually TOto sat on my lap in the car, and I will always chitchitchatchat with either Hubs and sometimes I chat with TOto. And from time to time, he will turn back and kisses me.

And slowly I realised that TOto will kiss me if it is something 'he likes'; example if I mention words like 'biscuits' or 'go dogpark'!

And if I start to 'nag' or words like 'Naughty' he will act blur like he didn't hear and you can see that he lower his head abit.

I told Hub and he doesn't believe me and we tested a few times and today after we fetch him back from daycamp.

We try 2 sentences on him ...

TOto 回家冲凉 ok? ( TOto, go home bath ok?)
His reaction -> He turn back look at me, I ask a 2nd time and he look away, turn back front and ignore.

TOto 回家吃 Biscuit ok? (TOto, go home eat biscuit ok?)
His reaction -> He turn back to look at me, I ask a 2nd time with '吃 biscuit ok?' He kisses me and turn back front ...

Conclusion TOto really, really HATES taking BATH!

We tried this a few time at different situation, at home and on the car and on both occasions gave the same reaction! If it is something he likes, he will come kisses me and if it is something 'negative' he will look at me and turn away! There is one times he almost kisses me but turn away still. And if he unsure, he will cock his head left then right ...

This reminds me since TOto is a puppy, we will always 'SEAL' a deal or a promise with TOto with a 'kiss' too. And once TOto kisses us, we will say," Orhhh you kiss means you agree huh, we go out already OK?". Maybe that is how he slowly learns!!!

Hmmmm, we wonder if this is how TOto say 'YES, OK'!

Level 1 - Fun XDog Agility Pt. 1/6

TOto didn't sleep well the night before, he kept having to wake up in the middle of the night to bark and keep wanting to go patio to do his guard-duty! And my alarm rang at 6.30am, by 7am TOto is ready to go to bed!!!

Too bad we have to go out, and TOto didn't even have his breakfast ...
7.48am and we are ready to GO!

ALL the other dogs there were HUGE, GIGANTIC!

And before coming to the lesson, we were saying if all the dogs that joined are Border COllie we will leave hahaha because TOto will have no chance at winning a trophy for us! But still all the other dogs are huge; there are 2 Leon Begers, Greyhound, Bloodhound and Aussies! No similar size dog with TOto!

Hahaha TOto has NO CHANCE at ALL!

Everyone is being attentive looking at the instructor and looks what is TOto doing!??

Mammeee is happy for TOto and mammeee is very very tired with all the running about under the hothothot SUN!

TOto performed better than expected. He was very HUNGRY halfway in class and got very distracted sniffing and sniffing refusing to listen to instructions and we got to feed him halfway in class!

After that he is very tired and start to lose his focus.

But still we are happy that he had enjoyed himself.

The instructor is very impressed with TOto and says that TOto is such a 'Mellow Terrier'! I think the instructor find TOto very calm and she mentioned that TOto has a great personality and great doggie body language. She praises that we have done a good job socialising TOto.

When we are back home, he was totally KNOCK out!

He didn't even wake when I had to open the main door to go out!

He is so tired from all the running in the dogpark for 2hours and YET he still wants to do his guard duty! Tonight was a good night at the dog park, a good number of different dogs he can play with. And there is always about 3-4 dogs that are always trying to hump TOto, we wonder why! Does TOto emit such a strong gaydar!?

We brought TOto to the dogpark very frequently like 4x since last friday!

Hopefully the coldfront keep coming in so that TOto can go to the dogpark more frequently!!

TOto sleeping ritual with his buddy TUrtle!

I finally videoed TOto's sleeping ritual with TUrtle! OMG, it is not easy to capture them in action together. Usually when he starts his ritual and you have any movement, he will stop his 'ritual' and walk away! Hahaha maybe he is embarassed by this baby ritual of his!

So when his ritual starts, I will have to be (1) at the right place, (2) on the right time and (3) with the camera nearby!

Does your dogs do these too?
It will especially happen when he is VERY TIRED!
I have already edited the video to about 2minutes, this whole ritual lasted about 4-5minutes!

I tell you huh, the TUrtle beard is so disgusting, that part of his head is 'HARD' like cardboard because of TOto's constant licking with his saliva! It is so dirty, we don't dare to touch TUrtle hahaha!

Rowlett Wetzone Dog Swim 2011!

TOto is super duper tired after that day and was so knocked out for the next three days onwards. This is still a small pool as compared to the Hawaiian Fall that we went last year. I am so looking forward to the ones organised by Hawaiian Fall happening in 18 September!

Sometimes I wonder HOW humanbeans think!?
When you have a dog, and you going to have a baby, the first thing you have to do is the READ UP on how to bring the baby back into the house so that your dog can accept the baby as part of the pack. And of course if you know you are going to have kids one day, then since DAY 1 you have to socialised them with kids! You'll be amazed how well TOto does with kids, TOto even allowed a toddler to grab his face and gave TOto a WET SLURPY kiss and after that being PUSH away by the toddler! It was HILARIOUS! TOto gives kiddos alot of leeway!

I believe I read somewhere the dog has to meet the baby and socialised with the baby in a neutral territory before bringing the baby back into the house!

Anyway today's there is a news on a facebook group 'I LOVE my Westie'.

Although I emphatise with the couple but I really DON'T SEE that it is any good news? How do they know that the dog is going to a GOOD HOME when they are so desperate to give the dog away JUST LIKE that and is willing to FLY HIM ANYWHERE just to get rid of the dog. I wish I can take him in, but I cannot.

And I actually agree with her. If it is the other way, it is your kid who has hurt your dog would you actually give them away and just FLY them out just like this!? And whose fault it is if you let your child get so close to the dog that they BITE? I know TOto very well, he would rather RUN FAR FAR away then choose to bite you. They only start to bite if they have NO CHOICE, their first instinct is always to RUN!

And yet they have people blindly supporting such decisions and is happy that Aspen is going to a 'FAB' home in TN after like 'advertising' for a few hours . HALLOW I think these people are just brainless. How do they know if these 'Human' are not dogbeaters or going to sell Aspen for a good price? Somehow I just wonder how dedicated some people are ...

It just hurts me to know such a handsome boy is given away just like that, where is the 2.5 years that they spent gone to?

2.5 Years = 913 Days = 21914.55 Hours = 1314873 Minutes

I am just so sad, I want to cry ...
And yes 'HOPEFULLY' he goes to a more deserving family who will treasure him and treats him right.

While writing and reading all the 'unfairness' of the world, my furball is sleeping just beside me! I really cannot imagine giving him away one day. My heart will die ...
I hope I do not have to make such a decision one day ...

Enrolled for X-agility!

We have enrolled TOto in "The X-Dog Agility Challenge" Level 1. This is not compeititive, just for fun! And poor mammeee and daddeee has to wake up at 6.30am latest to drive TOto out for his 'extra-curriculum'!
Program starts 10 September 2011 @ 8.00am every Saturday for 6 sessions, and most probably a 30minutes drive?

TOto will learn:

Motivation and handling around distractions
Build confidence in your dog and yourself as a trainer/handler
Learn how to target your dog to an object
Learn a fast down-stay and follow
Lead your dog through jumps, hoops, tunnels and other fun obstacles.

This is TOto for the next 2 days after his daycamp and swimming session.

Sleep, stretch, sleep stretch and sleep SOME MORE!

Summer holidays has ended for kiddos and 'Activities' are lining up for doggies!!

Just Saturday there are 2 other swimming events but those pools are very small so we didn't bring TOto but chosen this particular event at Rowlett's Wetzone. It was a 40minutes drive away from home but Daddeee of course are more than willing to do it for TOto!

the BRAT who whines for everything!

TOto's whine has different type of tone, urgency and loudness. If he wants to 'Play'; the whine will be very soft and whiney. Sometimes when he hear dog walking pass and wants to go out of the patio; his whine is loud, sharp and might progress to ONE BARK. And when he get a scolding he will go back to a softer whining. And during the night, his whine will be softer, no matter how urgent he doesn't dare to whine too loud unless a stranger dog walk pass, he will be growling and barking!

People who hasn't has dog will be surprised that dogs has their way of communication with human via 'chitchatting' their way ...

This video is when TOto is whining for daddeee to play but daddeee ignore and TOto starts to complain to mammeee to get his way!! Hahaha, and yes TOto will choose who he wants to play with or who to do things for him. Sometime when daddeee doesn't wants to play with him, you be surprised that he will come to the kitchen entrance to whine to me to 'COMPLAIN' daddeee.

How u noe TOto has a good day at Daycamp?

It was a rainy Saturday and we usually bring TOto about for his business before we let him go into the car!

And on rainy days, TOto is VERY CHOOSY and takes a long time sniffing out the 'PERFECT' pooping grass!! ARrrrghhh TOto everywhere you can poop, JUST DO IT ok!

TOto's favourite Camp with alot of FRIENDS he knows!

And the next day this is what happen!!

NO reaction from TOto when we mention, 'Walk walk'!

No reaction even when we hold his leash and collar in his face!

Usually when you accidentally 'touch' his leash, he will JUMP up from nowhere and look at you! And if we hold up his leash, he will start to jump up, and circle around you! Today he just look at Hubs, take a LONG LONG time to stretch and take his OWN SWEET TIME to decide whether he wants to go down!

It is soooooooooo FUNNY!

Hahahaha ~

But we know he had a GREAT day in camp yesterday!!!

Friday night was a good night, there were so MANY dogs!

TOto has a good time socialising, sniffing and licking with all the different dogs in the dog park.

TOto got tired even before the real play starts, but of course one of the reason is the 'weather'!

It is still VERY VERY WARM!

Halfway through a cute Chihuahua came and TOto was infatuated with him! They are having this unusual attraction with each other and starts their "Bro'mancing"! Chihuahua was snubbing TOto initially and wasn't giving him any attention, but TOto persist and they starts to 'play'; erm unusual play!

Later on in the night TOto met this 'Profession THEIF', hahahaha. Turkey seems very distance and doesn't play with any dog in the park. Turkey is always far away and only comes to you to 'STEAL' your toy and bring it near his owner to play!! I had a hard time getting TOto 'toy' back!!

But before the night end, both of them become the BEST OF BUDDY!

Once again, TOto melted Turkey's icy heart and starts to warm up and play 'wrestling' with TOto!

TOto even share his water bowl with TUrkey!

They ran, played, wrestled, fetched and bully other dogs together!!

Don't be trick by Turkey size he weighs only 14lbs, so skinny!

TOto is a fatso weighing in at almost 20lbs!!!

SO TOto can only win TUrkey in wrestling ...

Recently Mammeee has been addicted to this bimbo books of Izabella's life as Hugh Hefner's girlfriend! So Mammeee has been spending some Patio time alone with TOto! TOto loves and looks forward to this bonding time with mammeee, but she is finishing the book soon! I hope mammeee goes get another book to spend some alone time with TOto for the rest of our life together!!!

TOto will wake up every morning at about 6am and whine for me to let him out to the patio.

At 7am, he will wants to come into the bedroom and wait till 8am to WHINE me up again!

I wake to prepare daddeee's lunchbox while TOto being confine with daddeee in the bedroom ...

When daddeee wake, he will bring TOto down for his morning walk.

For the rest of the afternoon, he will be sleeping, sleeping and more sleeping ...

Sleep somemore ...

Sometime he will sleep beside me on the sofa and just show his peepee at my face!

SO UNCOUTH!

During dinner, he will standby beside the table wait for us.

Once we leave the dining table, he will be on standby with 'boing boing' next to him!!

Haha Daddeee will be multi-tasking; playing with TOto while watching TV.

TOto will have a long walked at 8pm, now the sun sets at 8.15pm.

And TOto has a last fast run downstairs for a last pee at 10.30pm and he will automatically end up on our bed!

This is a good day!

A day at the LARGE dog area!

Everyday IS over 100+F recently, and there isn't any small dogs in the small dogs area so we brought TOto next door. The large dogs area are about 3x larger than the area TOto goes to! It was huge, and from one end, you cannot see the other end in the picture!

But TOto did try to play with a few of them! It was so funny, he gave up. For one, he cannot run FASTER than them, for 2 he sure lose out playing wrestling and all the large dogs look so intimidating to him; he has to keep jumping up the bench to be on the same 'EYE' Level! Or maybe he is hiding behind Daddeee for cover!! Hahaaha ~

We are so lucky to stay in this apartment with a small park area just downstairs for TOto to run about. Everyone around knows TOto and so he gets away with this 'unleashed' running without anyone complaining!

Update: Daddeee goes to walk, mammeee lying on the couch. After Daddeee walked out TOto was sitting on the floor next to my couch, turns to look at me. I asked him, "TOto what you want?"

Ok, I sat up and TOto jump up the couch and slept on the couch! His cue," Mammeee, I want to sleep on the couch with you leh!".

TOto is slowly learning how to let us know what he wants from us!
AND HE IS GETTING GOOD!

Sitting in the kitchen; means Hungry, water or biscuits!
Especially after he finishes his daily wipes and he is still walking around the kitchen sitting by your side, it means," Mammeee you forget my biscuits."

The simplest act of him, of course is when he bring his favourite toy to you! It means 'PLAY'!

Scratching my feet and then starting to stretch his long body means,"Mammeee SCRATCH!". If you refused to bend down for him, he will continue to scratch your shin till you bend down! *NAUGTHY"

Recently I have been waking very early; like 6am early, and I have been reading my novel on my patio with TOto on my lap. TOto is so used to this 'Bonding' time, if I didn't go out in the morning, he will come scratches me and then walks over to the patio door. And if I didn't follow out with him; he will want come in very soon after he walks out and scratches me again and then walks over to the Patio door again. His cue for,"Mammeee comes sit with me and enjoys the Patio's view!"

Today during our Patio's time, TOto volunteer to goes back into the living room before me and I want to sit out somemore but he doesn't allow me to because TOto wants to come out of the Patio again right after he just walked in, as I wasn't following in. And shortly he comes out of the Patio, he wants to go into the living room AGAIN. His cue," Mammeee go in with me."!

After we walked right into the living, and I continue to sit on my Sofa; TOto begins to sit right at my feet 'staring at me' with his big round eye. I didn't know what he wanted and it was too early for breakfast! I asked what he wants, and TOto walks right to the front door; sat down, looked at me, turns and looks at the door and continues to look at ME and then turns to look at the door again. His cue,"Mammeee, I want to go down walk before it gets very HOT!"

I think TOto is starting to 'Brain-training' ME!

Biscuit is 饼干!

There are alot of words we taught TOto in english like 'Biscuit', or go 'Walk walk'! Recently he seems to be picking up these words in CHINESE too!

When we don't want TOto to understand what we are saying, we usually converse in Mandarin like,"去拿饼干给它吃." (Go， get him a biscuit). Or,"要不要带它去走走?"(Want to bring him out for a walk?).

He seems to be picking up words like 饼干(biscuit), we mentioned it and he walked into his crate and sit down waiting for his treat!!!

And I ask Hubs want to bring him down 走走 (walk walk), TOto look at Hubs and look at me and vice versa back like he usually do when we want bring him out!! TOto always have this habit of looking at us for confirmation!

GOSH TOto is getting INTELLIGENT!
We have to start picking up Cantonese or Melayu!

3rd day home ...

Day ONE
TOto really really miss me ALOT!
As usual, I waited for TOto downstairs. And again, TOto spotted me on the 3rd level. He wasn't sure it was me, I waved and TOto still double confirm with Daddeee before running ALL the way down straight into my arm! Oh, he is taught not to just RUN down the staircase, he has to 'ask' for permission to go down!

The plan was for Daddeee to go up to the apartment to bring TOto down and TOto detected my scent and he did something weird. TOto went into the bedroom walk-in wardrobe and started sniffing!! This is what he usually does when he try to find us if we play hide-n-seek with him!! So TOto suspect that I might be hiding inside the room!

Anyway TOto is very insecure for the 1st two nights!
I was so tired, I just knocked out the first night and throughout the night Toto was so worried, he keep coming into the bedroom to check on me! He would KISS me until I open my eyes gave him some reaction, set his heart at ease before he would leave the room! Hahaha he wants make sure I still ALIVE? And the first night he would STICK himself to me, to make sure I don't leave!? Hubs says he even refused to go down for his last walk on the first night I am back!

Day TWO
The next morning, TOto woke up with me at 4am and sleep only when I sleep! We can see he is still very insecure about me and even about Hubs! The morning, when Hubs goes off to work; I brought TOto down together. And he refused to let Hubs goes to work, he wants to board the car with him. This is unusual because usually, I would tell him," Daddeee go work, we go walk walk ok?" and he will walk off with me.

And in the evening, when we want to bring him down for his walk. TOto is so worried, I get missing again, he rather wait for me right beside me!! Usually he will wait with Daddeee at the door!

Even after I am back, he is still fighting me with my Pink Blankie!

Day THREE
Today he is more willing to let Daddeee goes work, not as much resistance as yesterday. He is so tired, he slept the afternoon away! I guess he is too tired the last 2 day being a worry wart!
Finally he relaxed abit and get to really REST!

He walked into his crate by himself today.
He was so insecure yesterday, he wasn't willing to be lock!

Sleeping here and there, everywhere.

I guess our life is back to usual!

I shudder to think in October both me and Hubs will be leaving for USA together!

How would TOto react then?

@4.22pm, he is still SLEEPING!

Blast from the past II - Playful TOto

I love how he is always so happy so carefree!

TOto always has this habit of throwing his first kibbles around happily and playing with it for a while before he devour the rest of the kibbles. Nowadays he only plays with the 'Homemade Biscuits', I made.

When TOto is so much younger, he doesn't play fetch and when he does he only play fetch with me. Hub is very worried and ask me,"Why TOto doesn't play fetch with me?" Eventually TOto did play with Hub, butwe never know why he don't want to when he is still a puppy!

TOto is about 3months plus, about 1 month we had him in tghis video ...

In a few hours I be taking a flight back to Texas!
Home sweet home Texas, in another 36 hours I be back ...

I missed TOto so much the only thing I can do is watched TOto's old video!
Any new thing will keep him entertain for sometime, and TOto has so much energy then ...

Looking at the video makes me want to get ANOTHER westie soooooooooooon. I love how TOto tail will wave left right up down, a dog can NEVER hide their 'feelings'! Hahaha look at their tails and you know they are happy fighting carrots!

Last year when I left TOto and came back to Singapore it was really not as bad!

This year, I miss miss miss him soooooooooo much!

Miss his kisses, miss his morning whine for scratchie scratchie, miss him scratching me for attention, miss his stretching (when he stretch, it means I scratch!), miss his big big eyes want he want to play boing boing, miss his sleepy head touching my big fat thigh when I surf net in the afternoon, miss looking at him sleep, miss the attention he shower on me, miss his furrrry belly, miss brushing his teeth!

I even miss his whinnnneeeee whines!

This year I really DO MISS him, real bad!

I wonder he feels the same ...

Another ONE MORE WEEK!

Hubs say he has gain more weight, and looks bigger and sturdier.

Hubs also commented when I am not around, TOto is so much easier to look after! Hahaha, there is no mammeee around to 'protect' him! TOto knows mammeeee gives him ALOT Of slack! With Daddeee it is more military style; one command one action! With mammeee, there is a CHOICE!

My blankie is really going to be SMELLY!

I have already lost one blanket, one pillow to TOto and now he wants to TAKE OVER my NEW pink blankie; so angry! Hmmmmmfffpppphhhh ...

It is just not the same in Singapore ...

People here are is not interested or not as enthusiastic when I talk about TOto. Dog is still dog to them. For me TOto is my world, my baby. I was telling my mom," I should be getting another westie when we want to settle in Singapore for good."

Mom's reaction," Haiyo, so troublesome, 1 is enough. They so naughty and dirty."

But if I were to say I want to have 3 human babies, maybe she would have say why not have 5 human babies!

It is a tad dissapointing, I miss TOto.

I visited Nex today and saw a six month old westie and I missed TOto even more!

It is so sad that he has to live in a 4-wall cage for all his 6months of his life. I don't imagine the staffs would bring him out for walks. It is really so sad, I can see the westie has already lost the 'sparkle' in his eyes. My heart feel so sad, so sad that I wanted to just buy him back and nurse his 'Sparkle' back to life. But I couldn't. I hope some kind soul would get you and give you the loves you so deserve!

Definitely not the 4 walls!

I wish I can bring you home, but I couldn't.

Anyway, I spotted a 'Maple' look-a-like poodle, having a haircut!

She has at least 4-5 audiences outside 'watching'!!

Recently TOto has been very tired because Hubs has been bringing him to the Daycamp daily. And we thought this way he won't have time to miss me. But TOto has his way to show he misses me!

I had purposely folded and place my pink blanket high above the pillow so that TOto couldn't get to it because TOto very seldom 'dare' to climb up our pillow and slept on top of us!

But we guess he really missed me ...

Haha he missed me so much he has to nuzzle his nose into my smelly blankie to sniff my scent out of it!

That 'area' has become his source of comfort at night.

I miss you very much too, TOto ...

'Gou Gou' is TOto!

Gosh, I woke up to this phone message.

And Hubs told me, after TOto is brought back from Daycamp that same day, he ran everywhere in our small apartment looking for me; bedroom, wardrobe, Patio, Toilet and laundry room searching! That is unusual because TOto is trained to walk right into the kitchen for his clean up! But when he is naughty, he will escaped and ran into the bedroom to give me a morning kiss!

Then after cleaned up, he settled down and starts to wonder why I never call out to him; TOto starts searching for me again everywhere in the house. And when TOto cannot find me, he looks at my Hubs wondering ...

The next day, Hubs brought TOto to daycamp as usual. And normally TOto cannot wait to RUSH IN not even turning back to say 'Good bye'! But that day, TOto actually turn back and bang Hubs leg and look at Hubs. Hubs say that it is like TOto 'REMINDING' Hubs, "Don't forget to come fetch TOto huh!'

In the evening, Hubs went to fetch TOto as usual. On some days, I'll be next door doing some groceries, and Hubs would walk over to fetch TOto, and after TOto does his business, Hubs would bring TOto to wait for me right outside the grocery store. And on this particular day after his usual buiness, TOto refused to board the car and PULL Hubs right to the grocery store, sat there and wanted to wait for me!!!

I am so heartbroken hearing all that!

They really do have memories like Hachi in the Richard Gere's movie!

TOto hang in there, mammeee is coming home soon ...

I don't whether I am happy that TOto misses me or I should be so sad that he seems to be really missing me so much!

I woke up even earlier than TOto today and we have decided to send him into Daycamp in the morning. We don't want him to see the moving of the luggages. We don't want him to associate Luggages shuffling with Mammeee missing.

During weekdays I very rarely send him to camp but Hubs don't want me to regret not sending him and then missing him for a month. And I get to see how naughty is TOto. Just walk him sniff around and starts to bully other dogs!!

There is a scene at 2:25 minutes, that is a MUST SEE, a brown dog 'STANDING' by the side watching TOto play! It is so FUNNY! The brown dog is even looking at the camera and looks like we saw him watching, and he is so shy he walked away!

I missed TOto so much, I had to replay the video in my camera several times during transiting and on flight!
I wonder does TOto miss me ...

In ONE night ..

He has to sleep here, sleep there and sleep sleep everywhere ...
Usually he has three favourite corners, and he doesn't like to be crated to sleep at night. I wonder why!? But some nights when he gets very restless and keep wanting to go out to the room to bark, we will crate him although he is unwilling!! In the afternoon, he will automatically walk into his crate to sleep BUT NOT at night!

I suspect, at night TOto think that he is the 'Security Guard' because Mammeee and Daddeee is sleeping so he cannot be crated, he need to he on HIGH ALERT but in the afternoon when Mammeee is wide awake he can go sleep without any care in the world!

We are very democratic when it comes to TOto, so we usually start the night with asking him,'TOto you want to sleep crate or bed?' He will start to walk over to his bed and sleep there, FIRST ...

While we are busy surfing net, I turn back and he went missing ...

Then I realised he is RIGHT UNDER my FEET, snuggling his his tiny bed!

After sometime, TOto got himself lost in the room again!

And looking around the small bedroom, he was right next to Hubs by the side sleeping like that ...

Gosh where is his head???

So acrobatic!? I bet he will wake up with a bad neck pain!

I always wish we can get into his head ...
